I Survived Finals!

Yay!
Sorry I haven't updated in over a week. I had my very first ever finals/exams week! It went surprisingly well, because I only had four classes last semester, and now I get five new ones! Anyway, enough about my school life...

So I was looking at my past posts and saw my Sherlock drawings, and I was appalled at the fact that I thought that they looked like Sherlock and John. Sorry for that. I'm actually quite proud of the way this turned out, though:

Okay, so it's definitely not exact or anything, but I am proud nonetheless.

In more drawing-related news, I made this!
This is supposed to be my sister (in green), our Swiss friends, and me (on the right). It it more cartoonish than anything, because I simply cannot make things look like actual people. Also, please note that the gigantic green mountain in the middleground is supposed to be a pine tree. It's based on an actual picture, but it's basically just all four of us in the outdoor skating rink in Switzerland.

And of course, how else would I spend my post-exam time other than Sherlocking (it is now a verb, people)? So I had just finished my Physical Science exam, and I thought, why not do something that I haven't seen online? so I 'made' Sherlockian physics based off of The Reichenbach Fall!
Again, I apologize for the terrible picture, I took it with my phone, which has horrible resolution. I played with the effects and stuff on iPhoto, though, so it might be a bit easier to read, but the actual mathematical results for Sherlock's fall are:
Final Velocity: 20.6 meters/second downwards
Time: 2.07 seconds to land
Force: Approximately 780 Newtons
Potential Energy on the top of the roof and Kinetic Energy as he hit the ground: 16,500 Joules

These are all approximate values which are mostly based off of Google results for "St. Bart's hospital roof height" and things like that. If you can read the picture, that's great, but I doubt you'll be able to decipher much because I can't even read it myself, and it's my own handwriting!

I hope you have a fantastic weekend and I may post more tomorrow or Monday (no guarantees there!). Bye!

~Sara
